What should I check before using the result?
Area × quoted rate, plus contingency; apply the entered tax to base plus contingency. Rates are editable examples, not market prices. Do not enter tax twice.

No. These tools use the metric units shown next to each field. Monetary inputs and results are in EUR; enter the relevant EUR tariff or quote. No currency conversion or live prices are applied.
Worked example: from items to total
With the fictional starting values: removal EUR 200, painting EUR 600, flooring EUR 800, plumbing EUR 350 and electrical work EUR 500. Materials are EUR 1,070 and labour EUR 1,380. Adding EUR 100 fixed costs gives EUR 2,550. A 10% contingency is EUR 255: EUR 2,805 total with the entered tax at 0%. This is not a market rate or a quote for a specific home.
What is included and what may be missing
Only selected items and entered amounts are included. Permits, professional fees, waste disposal, kitchens, bathroom fittings, furniture, transport and concealed work are not added automatically. Include them in other work or fixed costs without duplication. Request comparable quotes and verify measurements and scope with the contractor.
How to measure each item
Do not use floor area as wall area. Enter the actual surface for each item and use “job” for a fixed-price intervention. Contingency is editable and does not guarantee all unexpected costs are covered.
