From measurements to a complete purchase
A 5 × 4 m area is 20 m². With a 10% allowance it becomes 22 m². For 30 × 30 cm tiles, you need 245 tiles; with 10 tiles per box, buy 25 boxes (250 tiles).
What to check before buying
- Split irregular shapes into rectangles without overlaps. Do not deduct furniture if the flooring continues underneath.
- Apply the allowance once. The layout, cuts and installation instructions determine the appropriate allowance.
- Check the actual coverage and quantity on the packaging. This calculation does not design the layout or estimate adhesive, grout, trims or skirting.
- Calculate each material, size and finish separately. Keep the product reference and check the batch before buying.
